- Chateau Bournac is on the list in 2012 and the latest 2020 edition of the middle bourgeoisie, and the quality of the wines produced is recognized. The estate is located in the village of Civrac in the Medoc appellation. The vineyard covers an area of 40 hectares and the average age of the vines is 42 years. Three generations of the Secret family have worked hard to make high-quality wines, constantly developing better planting methods for the vineyard, adding brewing equipment, and combining traditional craftsmanship to carry forward the wines of Chateau Bournac.
- Combining ancestral experience and accumulated wisdom technology, the winery's team of brewers thins 30% of the grape leaves before the grape harvesting period, and then waits for the best ripening date and the best extraction degree of the grapes during the harvest season. After hand-harvesting, there would be strict sorting, pressing, peeling, tempering and lactic acid ageing, and the wine will be poured into 33% new French oak barrels for 12-15 months of ageing. And finally bottled for sale in the winery. The wines produced are made by blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, where Merlot gives the wine fresh fruit flavours and Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine a richer layer and a unique intensity.
